Sisterly Love part 6....Red, White and Blue!

We had a very low-key 4th of July here in the Nichols house...we slept late (well, as late as the girls would let us which was about 8am), had some yummy breakfast, took naps, and then got ready for some fun in the sun! It was such a beautiful day yesterday, perfect for the pool!! The girls each had their patriotic swimsuits, Allie's is from Papa and NeeNee (they got it at Target) and Marissa's is a hand-me-down from Riese (like most of her clothes:) ) So we got dressed, got our sunscreen and then did a little photo shoot!

Look at how cute they are!! I know the next 3 pictures are pretty much the same thing...but they were just so sweet and cooperative, I kept snapping away...those moments of cooperating for their pictures being taken don't happen often so I took full advantage.

Allie posing by herself...she is quite the model;)
Then it was off to the pool!! Marissa is absolutely loving the pool this year...she was having an extra fun time that day with Daddy, he kept throwing her up in the air and she would land in the water...she loved it!!
Allie was having fun filling up and emptying her cups....and looking very cute the whole time;)
On our way out Marissa said she wanted a "drumstick"....how she even knows what a drumstick is is beyond me b/c we never have them in the house nor has she ever had one to my knowledge...I'm blaming Papa and NeeNee:) But it was the 4th of July, so we agreed...in reality, there was no "agreeing" to speak of, Marissa asked her Daddy and he said yes, that's the way it usually goes:) As you can see, Allie was a little jealous! She kept screaming, "Biiiiiiiii" (which is Allie speak for Bite)
A day at the pool, followed up with some ice cream....doesn't get much better than that!
Little sister agrees!!
This picture cracks me up b/c if you look closely you can see a small string of drool hanging from her mouth...haha, guess she was really enjoying her ice cream!
The face of summer:)

We hope you and your family had a wonderful 4th of July!!!
